Prof. Changqin Huang

Title: Collaborative Research and Education based on Scholar-Oriented Social Network (SCHOLAT)

Bio:

Changqin Huang is a distinguished professor in Zhejiang Normal University, and also a specially-appointed professor of Zhujiang Scholar program in Guangdong province of China. Now he is the head of Zhejiang Key Laboratory of Intelligent Education Technology and Application, and the Executive Vice-President of Institute of Wisdom Education in Zhejiang Normal University. He received a Ph.D. degree in 2005 from Zhejiang University in computer science. He is a doctoral supervisor in both educational technology and computer science. He is also an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Learning Technologies.

He has presided over 6 national projects and 4 great provincial projects. The national projects are funded by the National Key Technology R&D Program and the National Natural Science Foundation, in China. The fund of each great provincial project is over 5000,000 ¥. He has published more than 140 research papers in some famous international journals and conferences such as the CAE, IEEE TIP, IEEE TCYB, IEEE TII, BJET, InS, KBS, and 8 papers were selected as the highly cited paper by the ESI. Currently his research interest is intelligent educational technology and application.

Abstract:

The new technical feature of modern artificial intelligence is big data driven. As one of the foundations of intelligent education, big data in the field of education is crucial to the realization of humanistic education intelligence. This speech focuses on the intelligent educational applications driven by the big data. It first introduces the new opportunity of educational intelligence driven by big data and the basic requirements of educational intelligence driven by big data. Then, starting from the mechanism of educational intelligence driven by big data, it expounds the forms and characteristics of educational big data, the application scope of educational intelligence driven by big data, and the principles and methods of educational intelligence. Subsequently it enumerates several practices of educational intelligence driven by big data. Finally, the problems, challenges and trends of educational intelligence driven by big data are briefly discussed.
